Thank you to all those that have submitted our on-line survey on VW Expo Stonor Park 2015. The event is run by a very small team of dedicated volunteers to keep the show on the calendar and we value you comments and suggestions in trying to improve the show.
Did you enjoy the show?
Excellent = 46.67 Good = 40.00 OK = 13.33 No = 0
Will you be back next year?
Yes = 83.33 Maybe = 16.67 No = 0
Is it time to retire Miss VW?
Yes = 76.67 No = 23.33
Entrance Fee - The entrance fee is charged by Stonor Park Enterprises we take absolutely nothing from it. The fee includes entry to the show as well as access to Stonor Park stately home and gardens, however we will pass on those comments.
Concours d Elegance - is not a show and shine competition and has strict rules all vehicles are measured on a equal footing using the pre-prepared judging sheet and point system. For those who do not want such strict judging the Pride & Joy class was created, next year this will be voted for by the public to prevent any dishonest goings on. As you may appreciate the concours manager has an in-envious task of keeping all entrants happy but takes all constructive feedback and reviews how things can be improved where possible. To that end if anybody would like to marshal or judge in next years event then please get in touch and in return you will have free entry/camping to the show.
(Note from Concours manager .... my plans at present are to reopen the buggy class and merging Audi and Seat into the 2 general water-cooled classes to make way for either a luxury & super-car class to cater for the R8's, newer Porches and Bentley's Tuareg's and Phaetons and a Showroom Class for all vehicles under 3 years old or a classic modified water-cooled class and classic unmodified water-cooled class and banning all vehicles under 3 years old from the arena!)
Miss VW - Taking on board the comments and feedback and despite the long running tradition at Stonor Park we will be making a decision regarding the future of Miss VW competition at the next meeting.
Camping - As with the entrance fee Stonor Park Enterprises take a majority of the camping fee which does not allow us a budget to run any entertainment and although it is something we have looked into it would probably severely hike up the camping fee.
Weather - Let us down this year with some entrants and traders alike deciding to not make the trip, but we are looking forward to next year and hopefully with the sunny Stonor we all love.
The survey will be closed mid June, if you would like to discuss any of the issues further or offer suggestions on improving the show then please use the contact form, thank you.
