Sheffield VW Owners Club is one of the oldest Volkswagen clubs in the UK. The club was originally founded in the 1950's but took on its current form in the 1970's. The club has continued to grow and now has well over 100 members.
In 2001 the first club show, Dub Odyssey, was held and in 2011 celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary with a brilliant show at Hooton Lodge, Rotherham.
SVWOC members meet on the first Tuesday of the month, please see the meet ups page for more details.
So whatever your interest, be it aircooled or watercooled, or even if you just love the nostalgia, come along and say ‘hi’, we are always glad to see new faces!
CVWOC is a friendly club that welcomes all - individuals, couples and families alike. We pride ourselves with being incredibly inclusive, providing support for each other and with lots of members that’s a huge amount of knowledge out there, so always someone with an answer!
The club is run by a Committee which is made up of volunteers. They organise regular cruises each month and club camping weekends that are advertised on the News and Events page here on the website (see tab above) and on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/436085806423996/events/
The cruises are a great way to get to know other club members. We always start at convenient, central locations where we can congregate safely, then gently wind our way around the beautiful Cornish countryside ending up with a cuppa and chat. We welcome anyone considering joining the club to come along to meet us; just get in touch via our Contacts page or Facebook.
Our camping weekends are either organised by us, for us or we head off to other VW events around the country where we usually get a club camping pitch and enjoy the opportunity to socialise with other Dubbers!
There is the annual children’s Christmas party where Santa makes an appearance and there’s also a ‘do’ for the grown-ups too.
In addition we hold an annual Jamboree at Stithians Showground near Truro which is an awesome inclusive event that is still the cheapest around! Do take a look at our Jamboree page for more details.
We have an Annual General Meeting which is held in Truro and is open to all paid up club members. It is where the Committee is voted in for the following year so if you wish to get more involved in the club then come along and put your name forward.
CVWOC is a not-for-profit club run by volunteers which means our annual subscriptions are kept low and everything made is either donated to local, worthy causes or used to benefit club members.
VW Heritage, an air-cooled and water-cooled VW replacement part supplier, is run by enthusiast for enthusiasts and that is why we value very highly the relationship with owners clubs.
We are now able to offer ABVWC members a 5% discount on all orders on-line or via the phone. Details of the discount can be viewed via the members only area and will be published on the next bulletin.

Club Focus highlighting the Association of British VW Member Clubs ...
In 1968 the London Centre of the Volkswagen Owners Club of Great Britain (VWOCGB) was established for VW enthusiasts in London and the Home Counties.
In 1988 the Centre became fully independent of the VWOCGB to form the London and Thames Valley VW Club (LTV-VWC).
The LTV-VWC caters for anyone with an interest in VWs, air-cooled or water-cooled, any age, any condition, and is run by a Team of volunteers. We aim to provide an informal experience by giving members the chance to meet other local VW enthusiasts at events or on the internet, a club magazine, benefits, discounts and advice on anything VW.
With a large and growing membership we're able to negotiate discounts with many VW suppliers, garages, magazines, the RAC and AA. We also organise regular local meets, trips, club camping and displays, plus our own event Dubs at the Park.
The LTV-VWC takes a pride in helping to keep the VW scene alive, not just for its members, but for all VW enthusiasts.
In 2008 at our 40th birthday celebrations the club was accepted in to the VW ACTION Hall of fame for services to the VW scene.
The ABVWC welcomes the Scirocco Register back in to the association
Established in 1996, the Scirocco is the premier UK club for the Volkswagen Scirocco
We support all models of the iconic Type 53 coupe and whether factory spec or modified, concourse or track beast, daily driver or weekend toy the Register is here to support all owners of and people looking to buy, mainly, a Mk1 or a Mk2 Scirocco – we do encourage Mk3 fans to get involved but are aware that there are other clubs that cater solely for the newer cars.
Scirocco Register members are a friendly, open minded bunch – knowledgeable and very approachable. Do feel free to speak to us at shows, contact us with questions and join the ever growing and popular forums and facebook pages.
The Scirocco Register is also exactly that: A Register of known existing cars in the UK. If you are an owner we would encourage you to join as a full member of the club to keep up to date with Register Events, receive the quarterly magazine SkyRocket, have entitlement to aftermarket and spares discounts and be in touch with a UK wide network of enthusiasts and enjoy a decent social once the polishing cloths have been packed away at a show.
We are here to serve our members. The Scirocco Register is a club set up to provide a one stop shop for information and relies on its members to be active, so please do feel free to make suggestions, submit articles for SkyRocket, organise meets and events etc
Only with your support can the club maintain its profile and reputation and go from strength to strength.
